Why name Villa Mantis?
At the time of the building, there was a period when huge amounts of praying mantises gathered at the front door. Surely, they are classified as predators or cannibals, but among ancient beliefs, they are also a sign of good luck or that they can show lost travelers the way home… Intrigued by this insect, I have decided to dedicate their name to this project. Beautiful and unique as it is a praying mantis. Villa Mantis is where modern meets the rubbish (collected and refurbished by me), where grey hugs bright colors, where art meets the regular and things become pieces to look at. The villa offers accommodation for 6 people. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Large living space with modern kitchen. The outdoor area has a swimming pool and kitchen with barbeque. Large sunbathing area with a beautiful view of Island Cres and Kvarner Bay.
This place was a project of my father with my final touches and complete decoration. I have already been in the tourism business for many years and I always want people that come to my place to feel the beauty of it – it is made with love and care. My passion is to search for abandoned things and rubbish to make them useful again.
Quiet area under Mt. Sisol. Surrounded by green and view at Island Cres and Kvarner Bay. Mornings with bird chirping will surely make you wanna stay longer.
